Giant Loteria Card | El Nopal #39
Description
New Oversized Devotion Loteria Cards. Straight out of Mexican folklore and historical culture, this giant and eye catching piece of wall art is an artistic twist of one of the worlds oldest card games known as “La Loteria”. The Giant El Nopal #39 will make a statement in your decor.
The Nopal or Cactus is sculpted out of the large ceramic placard using a series of thick wires. The cacti is hand sculpted and designed after the Opunita or Prickly Pear cacti. The hand sculpted terra-cotta pieces are inserted over the wires and painted with great detail to provide a real life presence. Watch Out! Cause the cacti and prickly pears even have real metal thorns that protrude from each sculpted cacti. Another unique aspect of this amazing wall art is the entire Nopal / Cactus sculpture can be manipulated and adjusted to take on different shapes. There is not too many types of wall art cleverly crafted in such a thoughtful manner. The large ceramic card / tablet is equipped with a hook to hang securely on the wall. Artisan sculpted ceramic that is hand painted in rich colors finished with varnish rub. This unique piece of Folk Art is inspired by the old world card game known as La Loteria, originating in Italy in the 15th century & brought to Mexico in 1769.
