Frida Trópical Sol Edition | Hand Sculpted Catrina

This beautiful addition to our Catrina Elegante collection is inspired by Frida Kahlo. Her colors and accents are inspired by the vibrant and lush jungle territory of Michoacán Mexico, where the Catrina was created. The Frida Trópical Sol is an original work of art, the only 1 of it's kind. The second of 2 figure Day and Night Catrina series celebrating the multi-faceted Mexican artist Frida Kahlo expressing the Sol y Luna or day and night opposites of personalities, art, and culture. All Catrina figures are kiln fired for several hours in a traditional brick oven. Frida Tropical Catrina is covered with lively accents; a collage of marigolds at the base of her dress and head, to the parrots and monkeys that surround her. This is an original catrina figure sculpted cured and painted by hand from the renowned and award winning artist Marcos Perez.
