La Cocinera| Hand Sculpted Catrina

Food is an all around tradition in Mexico. From the ingredients used, and the way in which each dish is prepared, to the person who prepares the food. Typically the kitchen is ruled by the mother or matriarch of the family. Recipes, techniques, and traditions of the Cocina(kitchen) are passed down from one generation to the next.

This authentic Catrina sculpture honors "Las Madres de la Cocina" (the mothers of the kitchen). All of the sculptures within our Catrina Elegante collection are original works of art, each is created to represent several different facets of life, from beliefs and passions to professions and culture.
