Literally a box of Miracles. This decorative chest is worthy of your most valuable or sacred treasures. Each Miracle Box is handmade by passionate and talented artisans with. Each of the over 200 authentic Milagro Charms that cover all five surfaces are secured by hand, hammer, and nail. No glue or adhesive is used to bind these sacred charms to the box. The Milagros featured on the this edition are inspired by Dia de los Muertos "Day of the Dead". 

Each Miracle Box is carved and sanded by hand from Avocado wood. The lid is fastened to the body with sturdy brass hinges, the thickness is about 1"inch. Carved and crafted to have a simple minimalist design, hand painted in flat black allowing the silver Milagro charms to stand out. Currently available in 1 size Large. The Large Miracle Boxes are embellished with over 200 authentic Milagro charms on all sides (except back side and bottom). Artisans fastened each and every silver Milagro charm to the box in a completely unique pattern using only a hammer specialty wood working tools and about 500 nails.

About the miracle charms called Milagros.
The english word literally translates to “Miracle”, these small charms are thought to have originated with the ancient Iberians who inhabited the coastal regions of Spain 2000 - 3000 B.C.. Milagros are made in endless shapes and sizes, and each figure has a different meaning. For century’s through-out Latin America people of faith have used Milagros as votive offerings to mend or heal one's ailments or pray for "assistance" with other difficulties in their daily lives.
