This vintage terracotta large vase is the only of its kind. Hand-molded and cured 50 years+ years ago. The bulbous and simple shape is complimented by sculpted clay spikes that envelop the surface of the vessel. A texture reminiscent of a sandy beach or like the desert floor about 90% of the surface texture is course, and authentic finish that is composite provided by decades of direct exposure to natural elements causing oxidization. The sculptural terracotta vase has a color scheme that ranges from dark smoke beige on the superficial layers. The deeper layers reveal a burnt mahogany with flecks of ebony; which appear around the rim also appear on some the spikes.
