La Gatita Catrina | La Tigré

Las Gatitas Catrinas or the Catwomen Catrinas are part of a very limited edition sculptures within our Catrina Elegante collection. Each with a different wild cat inspiration, pattern, and personality. This piece of cultural art is hand sculpted from raw clay, after sculpting and shaping the catrina it is then kiln fired for several hours in a traditional large red brick oven. After the kiln fire is completed, the sculpture is painted by hand in vibrant orange / black bengal pattern with a satin finish.

Individual Catrina Eleganté are extremely fragile and delicate. Therefore Zenwaro fulfillment team has developed very specific handling information and instructions. These instructions and policies are provided to individual customers and require purchasing customers full consent to follow receiving instructions and understanding of tested handling protocols before moving to the packaging and order fulfillment stage.

• The Tiger La Gatita Catrina is made up of 2 pieces- Her head with curly hair are solid with a long metal pin which inserts into the neck of the Catrina's body. This catrina completely sculpted and painted by hand. 
• COA(certificate of authenticity) signed by the artist confirming that this it is an original work of art. This authentic Catrina sculpture is part of our Catrina Elegante Collection an exquisite group of fine ceramic sculptures that are inspired by Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) handmade by artists of Michoacán Mexico.

This is an original sculpture was crafted completely by hand by the renowned and very talented artist Marcos Perez. This and all other Catrinas that Sr. Perez sculpts are kiln fired for several hours in a traditional red brick oven. All of the sculptures within our Catrina Elegante collection are original works of art, each is created to represent several different facets of life, beliefs, professions and culture both present and past. 

About The Artist.
The artist M. Perez lives in the state of Michoacan and uses the untamed natural beauty that this territory offers as a constant inspiration for the Catrina figures that he sculpts and paints by hand located in Michoacán Mexico.
