These terracotta pots have distinct scallop ribs that wrap the entire exterior horizontally. This beautiful symmetry is achieved by the hand-molding technique. The ceramic is quite thick on both sizes, which makes these bulky / heavy pots perfect for planting in. hand molded from raw clay, and kiln fired in a large red brick oven at temperatures reaching 1000˚F - 1200˚F. The kiln firing allows for these jugs to be placed outdoors, keep under a covered area away from pooling water.

This chic and distressed finish of flat white is achieved by mixing various paint colors, which are then applied to the surface by skilled artisan painters on each pot. This painting technique provides a mixture of light grey-ash tones with a soft egg-shell finish. The finishing process ensures no two vessel will ever appear exactly the same.
