Internal- Both lid and vessel are kiln fired with a protective glossy glaze made from natural elements. This layer protects ceramic from leaking and is safe for whatever you place within.

External- Each vitamin caddy / spice jar features intricately free hand-painted design n the Lirio pattern that wraps the entire outer surface of the base. The matching pattern continues around the edge of the lid with the colorful and cultural Azules Sugar Skull hand painted on the lid. The stoneware is twice baked in a high-fire kiln at temperatures reaching 1700˚F. This first bake transforming raw clay down to a molecular level the high heat and curing process forces out tiny air pockets condensing the material so that it is literally as hard as a rock, hence the name "stoneware". The baked stoneware has a wonderful natural vanilla color with a soft matte finish.
