About these miracle charms | Milagros.
The english word literally means “Miracle”, these small charm are thought to have originated with the ancient Iberians who inhabited the coastal regions of Spain 2000 - 3000 B.C.. Mini metal medallions made in endless shapes and sizes, each figure has a different meaning and are usually made from alpaca or tin. For century’s through-out Latin America people of faith have used Milagros as votive offerings to mend or heal ailments, they represent a prayer for "assistance" with difficulties in their daily lives. We have fused these "divine charms" with various carved wood sculptures, crosses, hearts, and accessories.
