The Glossy Red heart has Gold Hearts springing from its borders, while the Chalky White heart has Silver Stars exploding from its borders. Our artisans cleverly fused metal spring wires 10 -12 to each sculpture(a master ceramicist technique unique to our Devotion Ceramic studios). The metal springs with accents can be moved and manipulated to your liking. Playful folk-art that will add joy and individuality to your home. Both Sprung Heart designs are inspired be the feeling of new love! Love for a significant other. The joy and excitement we feel towards our passions, like when you have found your "life's calling" or when you have finally accomplished that task that you have been so devoted towards. Love and Devotion will conquer all!

Each of our Devotion Sprung Hearts start out as a soft moist block block of clay. They raw clay is individually hand-molded and shaped into a curvy, full-figured sculpture of a heart. No 2 heart sculptures are ever exactly the same, the definition of a "Perfect Heart". The Sprung Hearts have a unique additional feature- during the sculpting process 10 - 12 metal wires are fused into the raw ceramic. This profound artisan technique is unique to our Devotion Ceramic studios. Once the sculpting is complete the raw clay sculptures are placed in a large traditional red brick Kiln where the clay is heated and cured naturally by wood. After removing from the kiln the now dense and durable ceramic sculptures are completely hand painted in either a rich glossy red, or matt chalky white both color combinations are finished with a varnish rub. The small accents at the tip of each metal spring(heart and star shaped accents, also sculpted from ceramic) are painted in either a gold or silver enamel. This entire artisan process is very detailed. The finished work of art is beautifully intricate and dimensional sculpture that we call the Devotion Sprung Heart.
