Ceramic Coaster set | Capula Shield

This ceramic coaster set is a union of functionality and artisanal qualities. If you believe the paper beermats pilfered from various bars, pubs, tavern you've visited; now stained and warped from continual use collecting dust on your countertop somehow emit a sense of style? We can assure you they do not.

The Capula Shield, 4-piece drink coaster set, has a simplistic Portuguese inspired azulejos pattern. Artisan Painted by hand with a mixture of cool Teal and soft Vanilla tones centered with a vibrant Red Patonce cross over a calm archaic-style pattern. Toss those boring cork pads in the trash and replace with finely artisan painted ceramic coasters. Each coaster is handmade to last a lifetime from kiln-fired durable ceramic, and equipped with a thick cork padding on the bottom to protect the surfaces throughout your home.

The Artisan Process Behind Creating our Ceramic Coasters.

The 2nd bake is done in a high-fire kiln with a protective glaze finish. The Glossy protective Glaze coat that is baked on in a high-fire kiln where temperatures reach 1200* - 1500*F. Each pattern may vary slightly, these coasters are 100% hand-painted by fair trade artisans. This Ceramic is lead-free and contains lead-free paint and is kiln fired with a glossy durable finish safe for outdoor use and display; also safe to be used as a trivet for extremely hot pans and cookware. Designed and created at our fair trade artisan studios located in Guanajuato, Mexico.
