Functional art emulating and celebrating life! Hand blown chrome glass urn/vessel reflect the surrounding environment. These are not decanters and are not safe or intended to carry food/water/consumable liquid. Suggested uses- urn for ashes, flowers, diffuser for essential oils and potpourri. Currently available in Large 64oz, Medium 32oz, and Small 20oz.

The glass heart should not be used for holding nor serving drinkable liquids. 

The “Urnest” vessels are the result of a joint endeavor. The process product design & development bonded our immediate family to our extended family of artisans. An alliance that required years of technical design alterations in glass blowing, mold making, and artisanal iron work. <<From The Ashes>>

Components

Each Urnest Heart consists of three pieces.

  1. Sculptural Glass Urn.
  2. Iron Flower Cap with cork. Satin Black color. Individual corks are shaped for a tight custom-fit in bottle neck.
  3. Iron Vine Stand. Satin Black color. With 8 solid steel arms that are individually sculpted by hand to hold each size Zenwaro designed glass heart naturally. It is as though vines have grown around the heart. Sitting on 4 solid steel legs with felt padding.

How It's Made

About This Zenwaro Original Design. Beautiful glass hearts forged from recycled grass bottle rests wonderfully within a hand forged iron vine stand, that is hand painted in satin / flat finish. The chrome glass heart appearance comes for mercury paint that is added after the molten glass cools to room temperature. A hand forged Iron Flower Crown / Cap sits atop the Mercury heart. The flower cap is fitted with a cork that tightly fits into the neck of the glass heart, and completes this recycled work of art. The glass sculpture comes in small and medium sizes.
The iron vine stand in which the Mercury Heart sits, is hand-forged by our talented blacksmiths. Beginning with 1/4" thick solid steel bars that are cut into specific sizes then individual bars are heated, hammered, welded, and sculpted into an organic entirely unique Iron Vine Stand that have 8 sculpted solid steel arms to hold each size heart naturally it is as though vines have grown around the heart.

Artisanal Glass-blowing that is 100% Sustainable.
Our extended family of artisans utilize recycled glass that is delivered by the truckload from local recycling yards. Mounds of discarded bottles and other glass articles are transferred into the studio then lightly clean, crush, and heated the glass in large kilns where temperatures reach 1700˚F. The artisans then pour the hot glass into our signature designed heart shaped molds. The chrome glass appearance will appear slightly different on each heart, ensuring no 2 hearts are exactly the same.

We've poured our hearts into designing this collection of Urnest Sculptural Hearts. What began as captivating glass art almost a decade ago, has transformed into “functional glass art” and has transcended both family and artisan culture. Each hand-blown glass heart is crafted to artisanal perfection meaning that each sculptural bottle is individually handmade by free thinking skilled artisans to be entirely unique. We design and create all of our authentic glass art and vessels in partnership with artisans in Central Mexico celebrated for their creativity and craftsmanship.
