This sculptural and tripodal/three footed solid terracotta planter with a dark textured finish applied completely by hand. Tall mid-size pot has root & soil capacity of 5 gallons/19 Ltr, ideal for large to mid sized plants or young trees.  The lower portion of 3 elongated native faces make up the shape and profile of this tall terracotta planter. Each sculpted chin serves as a pillar lifting the basin of the pot 2"in/5cm off the ground. At the base this sculpted element forms a unique hexagonal shape. A sculpted plant-friendly vessel that encompasses all the artisanal authenticity, and novel beauty that cannot be replicated. Intriguing from every-angle; the genuine opposite of another mass-produced-pottery-barn imitation pot.

This planter was hand thrown and molded from raw clay fired in traditional kiln heated naturally by wood and brush. A common technique used by indigenous ceramicist of Mexico. Their quality work has allowed this terracotta planter to retain its durability and resiliency despite it's antiquity and exposure to the elements for decades. Mother nature has provided the durable, natural, and authentic finish.

Decades of exposure to the elements and oxidization has transformed the exterior terracotta surface to an array of earthen colors from apricot and slate adobe to ash white and smokey beige. A natural color variation as shown in the photos.
